Uulke van der Heide works as a medical physicist and group leader at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He holds a chair as professor of imaging in radiotherapy at the Leiden University Medical Center. He is an editor of Radiotherapy and Oncology and participates as course director in the course on-line MRI-guided radiotherapy of the ESTRO school His research group works on MRI-guided radiotherapy for prostate cancer and the development and validation of quantitative imaging methods for tumor characterization for radiotherapy dose differentiation.
