I am Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals, UK. I have a special interest in image-guided brachytherapy for cervix cancer having implemented the technique at Addenbrooke's in 2005. I am a core member of the EMBRACE international cervix cancer research group. My other interest is medical education. I was the National Clinical Lead for Radiotherap-e, the UK Department of Health e-Learning for Healthcare programme in Advanced Radiotherapy Techniques between 2009 and 2013. I have a research interest in the potential of e-learning and blended learning to “educate the masses” and to teach higher order thinking skills such as target volume delineation and decision making. I am also interested in the application of modern pedagogy to medical education (e.g. peer instruction, just-in-time teaching and meaningful learning).
