Biography

Dr Agata Rembielak is a Clinical and Radiation Oncology Consultant at The Christie Hospital in Manchester and Honorary MAHSC Clinical Chair at The University of Manchester, UK. She completed specialist training in radiation oncology in Poland and undertook clinical-research fellowships in Australia, Canada and UK. She holds an MD (Res) and PhD, both in medical sciences and oncology. Her research interests include non-melanoma skin cancer, particularly the role of radiotherapy and brachytherapy in skin cancer management, palliative radiotherapy and geriatric oncology. She is a course director at the ESTRO course “Multidisciplinary management of non-melanoma skin cancer” and sits on the GEC-ESTRO H&N and Skin Working Group. Dr Rembielak is a member of the NCRI Skin Cancer Group and leads on radiation oncology studies within the group. Currently she is CI on the UK NCRI clinical trial looking at postoperative radiotherapy in high-risk cutaneous SCC . Dr Rembielak has been also a keen medical educator, holding a MA degree in Medical Education. She is on the Editorial Board for “Clinical Oncology” and “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy”. Her research and clinical activity have led to a number of papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals and book chapters. She has been recognized internationally and has been an invited speaker at many national and international conferences.
