Graduated in 1980 from the Buenos Aires University, he finished his specialization in Radiation Oncology in 1985. He moved to Uruguay in 1989, to work in Dr Leborgne’s department. He continued his training as a fellow in the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University in Saint Louis, with Carlos Perez and Perry Grigsby in 1995. His major fields of interest are gynaecology, H&N, health economics, and clinical radiobiology, in which he has published his work with Felix Leborgne, Jack Fowler and Jolyon Hendry.\nHe began his involvement with the IAEA as expert and lecturer in 1993. He joined the Applied Radiation Biology and Radiotherapy Section of the Agency in 2004. He became Head of the Section in 2015. He is serving ESTRO as a member of the Educational Council.
