Dr. Yashar is Professor and Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Radiation Medicine and Applied Sciences at the University of California San Diego. Dr. Yashar trained in obstetrics and gynecology, gynecologic oncology and radiation oncology and has therefore concentrated her research and clinical career in women’s cancers. She has been active in national trials and has served on the board of directors and as President of the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS) and as the senior editor for gynecology for the International Journal for Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics, Advances and PRO. Dr. Yashar also serves as Vice Chair of the NCCN (National Comprehensive Cancers Network) Cervical/Uterine panel and as trustee of the American Board of Radiology.
