Abstract: Although surgery is the mainstay of treatment for vulvar cancers, chemoradiation especially in locally advanced disease provides an attractive option for organ and function preservation. Brachytherapy as part of radical radiation therapy regimen allows for dose escalation and potential to improve local control rates. The lecture will cover in detail the pre-requisites, principles of BT techniques, treatment protocols, mainly with HDR. The presentation will also include individual Institutional experience and clinical outcome data (both local control and toxicities).
