Novel approaches in the management of non-melanoma skin cancer
Non-melanoma skin cancer is the most common cancer in the world, and radiotherapy plays an important role in the management of the disease. The discussion of international skin cancer experts will cover the most important issues and trends on this topic. Current roles of EBRT and BT with emphasis on the rising incidence of skin cancer in an aging population, as well as principles of imaging and planning will be explained. The experts will discuss postoperative – individualised – radiotherapy in skin cancer. Merkel cell carcinoma, an aggressive and immunogenic form of skin cancer, will also be covered as an oncologic emergency.
