The objective of this work has been to collect the most extended and accepted references about dosimetric characteristics for all the source models used in Brachytherapy, in order to provide the dosimetric parameters needed in clinical use.
It is important to mention three points:
-
In the tables, the intensity of the source is defined in units of Reference Air Kerma Rate (RAKR) 1U = 1μGyh-1m2 = unit Sk = unit RAKR
-
The dose rate constant values in the tables have been obtained by the author
-
When both data tables and fitted parameters have been included for the same function, for example in the case of g(r) function, it means that the authors have given these values in their article.
All information appearing in each EXCEL spreadsheet has been extracted from the selected publication.
This work has been undertaken and developed by María de las Mercedes Lis Boada in her Ph.D. programme research work in the Medical Physics Group of the Department of Atomic, Molecular and Nuclear Physics of the University of Valencia and La Fe Hospital of Valencia, Spain under the supervision of Facundo Ballester Pallarés and José Pérez Calatayud.
