ESTRO has always been keen to promote constructive and valued relationships with the National Societies of Radiation Oncology throughout Europe and with the Radiation Physics and Radiation Technology societies when these co-exist in individual countries. Although ESTRO is an individual member society and has no role in overseeing the National Societies, the ESTRO Board has always worked to maintain close contacts with the National Societies to encourage the exchange of ideas and concerns, and when appropriate to take joint action on important issues.
Every year, ESTRO is delighted to welcome all the European National Societies to Brussels to share ideas, listen to feedback and to provide updates on ESTRO initiatives and projects.
Exceptionally, this year the meeting took place on 8 May 2011during the ESTRO Anniversary congress in London.
